Grow Mid Canterbury has established a help desk to provide FREE comprehensive relocation and re-establishment assistance to help our Christchurch neighbors who need to relocate.

The help desk provides valuable local information, support and contacts and an extensive database of commercial property to suit either temporary or permanent relocation in the Ashburton District. It is also able to assist Christchurch workers needing employment, transport and accommodation. We can help with every aspect of your relocation.

Ashburton District Council

Council is grateful for the way in which the Ashburton community has responded to this disaster. The many private and public fundraising initiatives along with the countless volunteers who have been involved in helping in both Ashburton and Christchurch makes us proud to be part of the Mid Canterbury community.

With large numbers of Christchurch people staying in the district with family and friends, the Council would like to determine how many people are affected and what their long term plans are. This information will assist Council to co-ordinate with government departments and other service providers to ensure the needs such as housing, health, education, transport and welfare are met.
